OK, thanks. Looking at the Brandrup website I think they'll be for the T6.1 Ocean/Coast. so probably wouldn't fit my T5 SE. Thanks anyway!

Sorry if I appear to have upset you, just trying to save you a problem later down the line.

It doesn't say on the Brandrup site that they fit all T5 Californias.

I am on my fourth California & 6th set of Brandrup second skins & have had 3 sets of the waterproof covers. On two occasions I have been sold sets with head restraint covers that don't fit.

With @BuieBodach having a T5 van & your covers being one of the newer patterns I am 99% certain that the front head restraints are not compatible.

If you try and order Inka seat covers direct they say to let them know that you have a T5 & they will put in different head restraint covers.

If you order other seat covers from the club shop it gives you the option of choosing as the photo below

No you didn’t offend me, the seat covers came off a T6 California ocean. Afew people have sent me messages asking if they fit t5/5.1 and of course I don’t know for sure but was just going by what brandrup had on their website. The only thing I can say is that they definately fit a t6 lol
 
how can you tell if you have a Type A or B headrest? I have a 2015 SE
 
Thanks guys, for the discussion. Having looked at various seat cover options, I know that my headrests are the 'Type B', just from the age of the van (20O7). So I'm back to concluding that these ones won't fit - at least not the headrests, anyway. I suspect yours, Montyburns, will be type A - but if you hunt around the seat cover websites you'll get a definitive description.
 
As the search function isn't working, here is an explanatory post copied from 2015 by Comfortz who at the time were producing California seat covers.


"It's the front head rests which are different. The early part of 2014 VW changed the front headrest to larger ones. Pre and post face lift (2006-2013) have the same headrests front and back.

If you take a close look at the pictures on the website you can see the smaller and larger headrests side by side - the larger one is circa 22cm from top to bottom.

We manufactured seat covers for a while and found this out the hard way :)

The sets we have in are for the 2014> but your the second person today to ask me about the <2014 sizing so I'll get some on the next order we have from Inka - I'll update the forum once they're in."
