I know this has been mentioned in previous threads, but it's the first time I've seen a full review, it's the Hymer Venture S and it looks like nothing I've ever seen before. It starts at £200k but by the time you've specced it probably nearer 230k - 250k!!!!

Would suit an exceptionally well healed Cali owner who wishes to upgrade..... Thoughts?

Seen it before indeed.
If money was not an issue, this definitely would be an interesting one.

Unfortunately I am a poor man and will never be able to afford it.

Love the staircase and upstairs bed, rear lounge windows and deck, and moveable bathroom wall. There does look to be too much light coming through the pop up roof though …

If you want something cheaper you could buy any of the following brand new and save several thousand pounds compared to the list of this...

Ferrari Roma
Lamborghini Hurican or Urus
Bentley Continental or Bentegya
or a 12 month old Rolls Royce Ghost

That puts it's cost into perspective....

Tough choice between that and the iSmove. Two different vans but similar £band.

Bet a Benteyga doesn’t have a staircase

These will be gathering dust parked on the drives of Premier League footballers no doubt......

If I have to go for a vehicle taller than 2m and heavier than 3,5t, I certainly don't want a pop top again.

Money on that one. I like the iSmove to. However I keep coming back to the Roller Team 745 due to cost....... and keeping the Cali

For £200k the living room is just too cramped. Do like the tailgate option though and Sprinter platform. A non off road version would be good, slammed/big wheels etc.

All of that interior would likely crack and grumble on rough roads. Not sure I’d trust it off-road. Form over function in my view until rigorous testing proves otherwise.

Some clever and interesting features but like many Cali owners I think bigger isn’t always better.
Oh and that ‘Scottish Motorhome’, nearly 3years and Police Scotland still can’t find a ‘Charge Point’ … strange eh !

It's on the "dreaming" list for a lotto win for sure.
There are some custom converters who have started to use the "steps as storage to a pop top" part of this

fantastic that they kept it so close to the original concept vehicle - I love it, but am not going to sell my house to buy one.

I saw a Unimog based "camper" when I was at Sykeside the other month. For those that know that campsite, the road going past reception is pretty steep. The 'mog was leaving the campsite but had to stop to let a vehicle past. The sight of many many tonnes of vehicle with hissing airbrakes lurching around was making the staff in reception rather nervous! Not convinced it was particularly practical for typical UK use.

Imagine a UK Hymer dealer trying to fix anything on the Venture S - many of them can't even manage basic stuff on other models...
