White cover for side/door mirrors

Hi all,
I have T6 2018, Coast
I broke my side mirrors cover - they are black. Now I want to change to WHITE ones. My mechanic would order them, but he needs VIN number from T6 with white ones.
Is anybody willing to share their VIN number, so that I could get original white covers?

Ask your parts man to look up the correct mirror cover for your vehicle and then look down the colour options for what is on offer. My guess will be 7E1 857 527G B9A for the left side. B9A being the colour code for Candy White there are a number of choices plus ones in primer which you can have painted as you wish. The main part number may be different for your vehicle dependant on the options (PR Numbers) of your vehicle. ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK!

Thing is I got those covered by insurance, so they will send me what we order.
But to do that mechanic needs VIN of T6 that originally has white covers.
If we put my VIN in we will get black ones

If nothing else we will paint them white, but I would rather get original white.

Both OEM parts are available, sprayed in the colour of your choice, via a well known multicoloured auction site.

No he doesn't, he's just trying hard not to search ETKA for what you are asking him for.
I've been dealing with helpfully VW parts men for over 50 years and always been able to get what I want. Sometimes even parts that they have never heard of.
If you are trying the front counter parts give up and go to the trade counter. Or ask another dealer or your local TPS if they will deal with none trade, some will & some won't.

LLL Parts will have a listing showing all available, I suspect they are either black or Primed from VW. I.e need spraying the correct colour, otherwise VW would have to hold a Shed load of stock of different colours

Don’t buy ones on eBay: I wanted 7E1857528LC9X right side mirror cover in deep black metallic. My first attempt had horrible plastic moulding lines on it: my second attempt looked like it had been sprayed by a blind 5 year old with a rattle can.

They were obviously not VW OEM parts ?

The first one wasn’t - the second was genuine but was a plain one 7E1857528 that had been sprayed - most colours have to be sprayed but deep black LC9X is one they supply - cost £100.92
