Is it me or is the Lakes District a bit tight, but worth the views

The Lake District is worse than the NC500 as there is little if any provision for passing places. Defo worth the views and atmosphere though. The Lakes takes a lot of beating.

An amazing place. Always check the route on a map, don't follow the sat nav unless you know exactly the type of road it is taking you on.

Speaking from experience:embarrased

I found heading "town to town" on sensible roads a better bet than the more direct options offered by Google

Looks like Hodbarrow? What’s the problem with the way out?

You are correct its on the outer barrier for the iron ore mine, and if you don't go back the way you arrived the road gets very interesting, bit like driving over the moon surface but with overgrown trees as well, I did ask a person in a Old Honda CR-V if you could get out the way he had come in and he said " Yes but its a bit rough". If I had been him i would have told me yes but not in a £70,000 van like yours. Thank god the Cali is not lowered in any way and on 18inch wheels

I've been to the Lake District once (April 2017 with our t4 westy) and remember how beautiful it was and of course our boat trip on Lake Windermere where The Expendables just flew over.

Also worth mentioning: the home of Beatrix Potter. Whether it was narrow in The Lake District, I can’t remember ;) :D

Wow that looks like a nice spot. Is is a place where you can spend the night with the van?
yes. One of my favourite spots. Stonethwaite farm in beautiful borrowdale. Expect no phone signal. And only cold water pot wash. But I give it 5 stars. Simply stunning 8 quid a neet

Just had a look and it looks gorgeous! I'm adding this to our itinerary! Thanks!
