For the surfers

Looks good. How is the bottom of the bracket attached?

Is it just me but those fins protruding look like an accident waiting to happen.
Our local rag had a picture last week of someone prosecuted for having a fence post sticking out the passenger window, it started in the boot but was a fraction too long to fit inside, it didn’t stick out any further than the door mirror but was deemed dangerous.

Oke i dont see the danger part, boards are tied up so nothing can fly away.
The boards dont stick out of the side mirror.

maybe i dont understand what you mean :)

Those magnets must be really strong, have you tried them at motorway speeds yet…?

Yes, i did yesterday and no sound noticeable.
Boards stay in place nothing moved.
But if i will put them in a boardbag it will take more wind for sure

It’s a nice idea.
Such a pain sticking boards on the roof.
Always like the way the old Westfalia’s had them on the side of the hardtops…

This looks great. Where did you get the brackets?

I thought the advantage of a 6.1 Beach was that you could put items like these inside by removing the side storage boxes.

This looks great! Thanks for posting the bracket but where did you get the bit that actually holds the surfboard and how does it attach? Would be great to see a photo without the boards if you have time.

Thanks,

Frances

Looks good but I personally wouldn't risk boards in that position. They must more vulnerable to damage, especially if not in board bags.
