Water tank replacement

hi guys, I have bought used cali T6 ocean and I have to replace water tank (contaminated by diesel). I ordered all needed and cant find any workshop manual for camper installation

could someone help me? Original VW servis is too expensive for such replacement. Also I want to understand whole camper system, another motivation to do it by myself.

Check out the Resources section of the Forum. There is a VW California tech manual on the camping side of things . Although for the T5 nothing changed until the T6.1. Might be of help.
Also the VW ERWIN site. You pay for timed access to the full workshop and Repair manuals for your particular vehicle based on the VIN number, but you can download the relevant sections/manuals as pdf files to view off line.

I used workshop manual posted above just to see how it looks like. I approached it as big Lego. Its worth, not all steps are in! I share my observations below

Replace all shells, doors, table etc. What you can easily do. Then replace back seats, manual you can find on youtube, system is similar to any multivan T6. Open all covers inside, to see what is inside. After this we can start.

Overhead storage compartment. Loudspeakers are glued! before you start use knife to replace glued cover and disconnect them
Panels inside the cupboard, left one is glued
Cupboard mounting points to the body, its easy to find it, beware one is under the car!
Do not forget to waste pipe! It is situated next to fridge. Easy way is to unscrew pipe from outside.
Unplug electricity, first batteries, then all components, everything is easily accessible and visible.

I wonder if someone can clarify if when emptying the fresh water tank on the 2018 Ocean the water runs out behind a plastic shield where the spare tyre fits. On my Ocean it wets all the bolts that hold the spare wheel in and over time this will probably rust the bolts. Should the water run...

Hi Samuel! I have the same problem with our T4 water tank (diesel in it), but really struggle where to buy a new one. I know you have T5, but I can't see any offer for those either. Where did you get the new parts from?
