Hi. Recently acquired a California Ocean 6.1 (2019) but have noticed at night that there is a visible dark (non-illuminated) horizontal line between the light from the dipped beams and the full beams.
Also, dipped beams seem to be too high and blinding oncoming traffic, but not found any way of adjusting them.
Anybody know how to fix these without a visit to VW garage?
Thanks
Geoff

Don't you have a button like this to adjust the dipped beams ?

LED’s are self adjusting on T6.1 Ocean so should have no need for manual intervention. Not sure about the horizontal line because it switches from one beam to the other. If they are actually dazzling oncoming traffic then the distance calibration of the dipped beam must be out and I imagine that would have to be looked at by VW. Occasionally I get flashed on dip but I think that is because the LEDs are so bright that other drivers may assume you are on full beam.

Thanks for both these replies. It looks like a visit to VW garage is the only way to adjust the headlamps. (I've also searched other forums for suggestions, to no avail.)
On dipped headlamps, the beams are a little high, but not extremely so. The full beams seem to be different LEDs and should illuminate seamlessly above the dipped beams. On ours, the full beams are too high, resulting in a dark, unilluminated horizontal band between the dipped and full areas.

My 2017 Caravelle dipped beams are rubbish. I have fitted Phillips bulbs, which are supposed to give a much better illumination, in their place but the improvement is only marginal.
I keep the dipped beam control switch at maximum height and have never had a reaction from oncoming drivers.

The only “incident” I have met is a driver pulling out of a side road to my left as I approached him. The reason was because I had gone over a sped hump just before the junction, and the rise and fall of my vehicle produced a phenomenon that I had flashed my lights for him to proceed.
Another “watch out” factor committed to memory!
