When I sold mine, I took the buyer to his bank which was 2 doors from mine, once transfer confirmed, I went in to my bank checked the account, returned home and drove my beautiful Cali away.

Bank transfer will be safest - recently paid for something the same way. Most apps have a limit (mine is 5K) so something you need to do with/at bank for Cali money. Just make sure you check your app/with bank, not just a picture in their app of the payment being made. Had a neighbour diddled out of an iPhone because they saw the payment in one app but did not check theirs. Stay clear of Paypal and the like. Old ways the best when it comes to a 30 - 60K Cali.

We sold our Cali within 12 hrs of posting on forum recently. We were nervous about securing payment.
Money transferred to our account by a small amount to check ok. Then rest of payment by x2 payments because of limit set by the buyers banks .We could see all payments in our bank within a few minutes. We had a discussion with our bank beforehand.
V5/ tax done online . Immediate confirmation email. Buyer was able to insure & tax the cali .
Both parties happy .The buyer then drove off in the Cali.

We've sold our T5, T6 and T6.1 via the forum and followed the same sales route as yourselves. Takes a little bit of admin, but works perfectly.
Even taken quite large deposits via bank transfers
