I suspect not many will be rushing out to swap their diesel Cali's for this electric vauxhall, but I think it has some clever developments I've not seen before and gives some future hints of how a full vw camper may develop.

 
Thanks for posting @2into1 concur on some of the clever developments. I could live with that range and plan around it on tour The Caddy Cali could be so much better than it is.

That’s is a genuinely awful Campervan. I would rather setup a tent, than try and camp in that thing…
 
This is the first time I could warm up to the idea of an electric campervan.
This Vauxhall has been cleverly designed, although with lots of compromises. The range is still rubbish, considering he wasn't using A/C with 31° temps driving behind a large windscreen, it must have been horrible. The bed is tiny, not sure how comfortable. For a young single person ok, but prices from 58k ? 58 ??
We have to see also the scalability of the project bringing the occupancy to 4 people, like in the Cali where you can sit at a table inside comfortably in 4,you have 4 beds, 2 hobs instead of one, 42L fridge instead of 18.
I think once you scale it up to 4 people the battery necessary and consequent weight will kill the project.
 
no more no hook up pitches with that thing, and where do you put all your wine and beers ? bike, clothes etc. truly awful. no thanks
 
I wasn't suggesting it was Cali beating (to all those slagging it off) just that it had some pointers to the future.
