How does it feel ?

Just curious to hear how it feels when you got your new van ? I can only imagine how amazing it must have been when collecting and going on your first trip.

So far I can only tell you how it feels to wait an eternity.... :sad

Mixed emotions that day!
Felt exciting heading to the dealer with my better half on the train with a coffee and a Millie’s cookie, buzzing to see Billy in the metal for the first time, frustrating being shown round the van when the dealer didn’t know very many answers (especially electronic), a bit nervy pulling out and driving it, and by the time I got to the detailers it was like a big sigh of relief that I loved it, and intrigue about camping in it and playing with all the toys, after waiting 13 months from order. I took at least 10 photos of it that day.

A bad nights sleep before collecting - like a kid before Christmas ! We couldn’t stop smiling all the way home though

Weirdly nervous driving it on our first trip, even though we’ve hired and driven exactly the same vehicle before. That soon went though.

Noticing the admiring stares, nudges and double takes when we drive past groups of people - my wife says it’s for the van not me as the driver

We decided on Vinnie on a Monday, found it at a dealers on Tuesday and waited very excitedly on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, we chilled on Sunday.

By the next day Vinnie was ours. It one of the first purchases we have ever made where we just knew that it represented adventure, freedom and flexibility and a summer of fun discovering lots of little places over mainland Europe.

The best thing is we get to be adventurers, re-discovering lost havens, forgotten cities, historic relics. The fact that millions have gone before us and have blogged, vlogged and streamed is irrelevant, they didn't! That's our destiny and we can't wait.

Good, very good. Waited 20 months.
Collection this morning and been in and out the cali the whole afternoon

First trip: as soon as possible.
