So I'm trying to find a specific version of the blue commando type hook-up skt. Essentially it's the normal female skt that plugs into the van but it has a built in additional skt for a "daisy chain" type connection for an additional plug.
I've searched in all of the usual places without success.

I've seen and used them in action but only in Europe. (Could you imagine the Caravan and Camping lot allowing such a device????)

I'm looking to simply add the facility of another power outlet at the van end. I know there are several splitter/Y piece options out there to achieve this but, what I'm looking for is a far neater solution.

This, but not a Chinese one!

Would this do?

The item you showed in your picture looks just like a EHU socket to European adapter. How will that give an additional 230v socket if plugged into the van?
Maybe I'm missing something here. Probably am.

A lot of people around here are using something like this

Also available as part of a ready made hookup cords, e.g.

Yes, you're correct. That is what the Germans prefer which allows, as you say, a 3 pin German/Euro plug to be fitted. I have a Euro to Uk adaptor lead on board. Bit messy. The version I'm looking for has the proper Commando outlet. I also carry a Commando to UK stubby lead which is what i'll plug in.

Ah, I get you now. I’ve never seen those, though. I’m not quite sure the CE standard would allow for them, which might bring you back to Chinese suppliers.
Good luck in your search!

I think I'll end up adding an extra skt inside the van at the rear end somewhere. There is an argument for keeping the (extra) supply on the same RCCB as the van, as opposed to off the hook up protection. Lets not pull that particular pin out !!

I doubt you’ll finding anything with a British or EU stamp as those pins have the potential to be live…

Hence the additional outlet being a skt not a plug.

I have sometimes wondered why there is no 230 V socket in or near the boot. Could be useful for many things.
