I've just spent the last few days cleaning and waxing the van, the first 'proper' clean for a loooong while! I set about the roof on Sunday, the front and back on Monday, right hand side Tuesday, left hand side Wednesday and lastly the wheels on Thursday. This was a 'deep clean' and if it's painted, I waxed it! I even waxed all the inside surfaces that can not be seen when the roof is down or the doors are closed (yup, sad and a bit OCD I know!). The reason for splitting it over a few days was to avoid getting bored or tired or simply rushing it to get it over with. I also found that I could enjoy the task more, especially the roof and the wheels.

Now then, where can I get some therapy? :D

Its a big job doing the full van, always better to do it
over a few days though. Or else you're grafting all day long
and then fooked at the end of it :D

Haha, I’ve just changed the title of this thread………. so c’mon, let’s see your clean van!

Nice job. Cleaning the van is my therapy some days.

Must have been the weekend for cleaning the bay leaf / candy white Oceans. Mine got the full inside / outside treatment. Then it rained. But hey-ho, at least those roof ridges were clean, briefly

Took an opportunity to give the van a mid-tour quickie wash at Applecross, and just as I was finishing another green/white Ocean pulled up on the next pitch! People passing must think we belong to a club or something ;) Hi there to @Kenisted :cheers .

Was great to meet Sue and yourself Bill, great to pick up some tips even though I was embarrassed about how dirty Bert the Cali was

Why do all these posts make me feel guilty. Maybe something on my conscience as to when I last washed the van.

Since I live in apartment currently I don't have the luxury of being able to wash at home so have to rely on these setups. I think the little raised platform will be very useful for reaching the roof. Bulli Idle is getting her first bath this weekend to spruce her up ahead of my trip to France next week.
