We are off to France at the end of May for a month. I’m having to relearn things after a 2 year gap! Every thing is now sorted included our vax records. However the plf is proving slightly harder to resolve. Do we need one or not is the question! My research shows:-
1. I’m not sure everything I see on the internet is up to date and
2. It refers mostly to flying!

Has anyone any info as to whether we need to provide one ? Any feedback would be much appreciated.

I am also off in Mid May and not completely sure.
As you say everything on the net seems to be for flying.

A passenger locator form is a UK document for returning to our country as opposed to a EU document required for access. It is no longer required for re-entry to the UK. The Eurotunnel may ask you to complete an upload of proof of Vaccination from your NHS app for the crossing to France..

There also seems to be one required (possibly) for entry to France. As you say the one for the UK is no longer required. There is definitely a French form (in English) for a plf but I am not sure if things have moved on and wether we need to provide it now.

We travelled to France with Brittany Ferries on Thursday, no need for a passenger location form but we got an email from Brittany Ferries a day before we travelled with a link to an Advance Passenger Form which we filled out online, it just asked for our names and passport numbers, it was pretty straightforward and I think it's a post Brexit thing not a COVID thing.
We had to show our vaccination record at check in UK side but no other forms needed now, I'm fairly sure that the locator form that the French ask for only applies to air travel now, we didn't have to do one. Have a good trip.

For a while the French required an Attestation d'Honuer! A signed one pager where you promised you hadn't been around ill people for 2 weeks, they dropped that a month back. As long as you make sure you have i'in date' copies of your NHS travel QR codes you will have no issues getting across.

Have now booked (P&O fingers crossed it will be ok) And I was worrying unnecessarily. After booking as part of the process P&O send you the form to complete and , as some one else said, it's straight forward, just details of passports etc.

Travelled to France April 21-24 by Eurotunnel. The only docs required were NHS covid pass and a PCR test for one passenger who wasn’t boosted. This said you shouldnt rely solely on forum chats for this info and consult French consulate in UK before you travel.

have a look at this thread

I believe that the passenger location form is for people who fly because of the close contact on the plane
