What a rabbit hole I’ve just climbed out of!
After looking up the etymology of Hodophilia it led me to the Greek Hodo- travel, journey all the way through to Ancient Greece, early common language for the entire continents, back into the dark ages in Greece, Ireland, Italy and ended up reading about the 250 year long pandemic in 547AD

As age restricts my ability to cart a large rucksack to places rarely visited so needs must be served by road-going transport, and yes, from my earliest wanderings, I have had an insatiable curiosity to see where the next road leads me.

I have been a hodo-er since the early sixties, more so from retirement nearly twenty years ago, and I hope to continue hodo-ing until I die. To hodo is often better than to fthano.
