Hello all

We pick up our '21 Ocean next Monday. Mrs G is just recovering from Meningitis; I realise I am lucky she's still around, and in one piece, so we are looking to get as much use from the van as we can as she goes through the long process of getting better. I've cheated a bit in that I intend to keep our caravan, and will tow it with the van - getting the best of both worlds.

One question for the experts, which I can't answer myself as I don't have access to the van to find out - I would like to carry a portable toilet when we are out and about (at our age it's a good idea to be always near to facilities) and intend it's going to live under the bed extension at the rear, so could anyone advise me how tall a toilet I can go? - taller toilets mean less backache . . . . .

Thanks

MG

Porta potti 335 fits in the boot or under the kitchen sink.

Anything that fits under the shelf is VERY low, particularly if you are tall! Consider a taller one hidden under a £10 cover (others will tell you the proper name / show a photo, and keep it in the cab as a foot rest when not in use.
Good luck with your new Cali

The great thing about the 335 is it's small. The bad thing about the 335 is it's small. PITA to use. We have ours for the middle of the night but always stay at sites with facilities. Kneeling is the technique! Sits in the boot back right - I don't want to lose cupboard space for a night time e-pee.

Kneeling? Only if you are a man! We like the 335 for days out. Keep in kitchen cupboard. If you want to use it, no need to get out of the van. Need to be a bit physically flexible. We are old and we manage fine!

Unfortunately I am afflicted with being a man - probably too old to do anything about it now! We didn’t want to lose the cupboard space so we just get it out of the boot when we go to bed. Or it’s been in the pop up tent that we throw up on site to keep the artefacts we travel with out the van. Through the day we are never not somewhere where we would need to e-pee in the 335.

Does anyone know if the 345 fits between the extended bed and the front seat? It is a few centimetres wider than the 335
