Curtains going up

Our pull down curtains are won’t stay down and are slowly going up by themself. As a quick fix I will tape them down with some duck tape but I think they should stay down by themself. The van is 2 months old. Is there a (quick) solution to this?

Take it back to the dealer

the blind work on friction, there should be some black felt material in the vertical runners to cause enough friction to prevent them winding up by themselves

eitherway on a new van it’s not correct, therefore back to the dealer to sort out.

Ps don’t use duct tape, it has a nasty habit of leaving residue and can be a real pain to take off without damage

A bit of WD40 sprayed onto a cloth will get of any residue.

Whatever you do don't do what I did in the early days.

The rear blind was a bit stiff so I sprayed some silicone in the runners,
went up a treat but wouldn't stay all of the way down.
It took eight years to wear off.

Be careful what you spray.
