Hi,

Has anyone ‘winterised’ the underside of their Cali? A lot of salt spread on the roads here in Scotland.

Cheers
Ian

I have got some lanoguard for my van, put it under my hilux. I’ve given Up using stuff like waxoyl and dinitrol it looks great at first, but peels or cracks after a year or so and ends up rusting underneath it..

I have bought Lanoguard with the intention of spraying my new Beach when I get it. Due to arrive with the dealer in Aberdeen any day now. I have already done the arches of my twelve year old Golf with the grease. Going to spray that as well prior to it's MOT. Some rust starting I the arches due to stone chips and want to halt the progress.

Removed my arch liners and all plastic undertrays, sprayed with lanogard and reassemble a weekends job. Youll be amazed how much mud builds up behind the liners and undertrays. Will remove to inspect every couple of years and reapply.

Thanks for the good tips. Any areas to avoid when applying? Cheers

How easy is it to remove arch liners? I looked for a YouTube without success.

Arch liners held in by multiple torx self tappers (t25?) really need wheels off for access. Once all screws are out its just a case of easing them away from the arch lips. Also at their lowest edge check if they sit above or below the adjacent underfloor plastic liner and exhaust heatsheild so you can reassemble in same order.

Thank you, @Nik_campervan

Especially the front wheel liners.
