Evening all,

After previously ordering, and cancelling an Ocean (twice!), we recently bit the bullet and purchased a van that was already built and waiting at the port to be delivered. (For anyone who was a frequent visitor to the T6.1 Delays thread, we were originally known as Buzz61).

We’re just back from our second weekend away, and absolutely loving it! The time I’ve spent on this forum has been invaluable and meant we practically hit the road running when the van arrived… helped by the “Cali stash” we’d been building over the last couple of years. Whoever it was that recommended the Vango Aurora sleeping bag, I could kiss you haha!

One thing I couldn’t find on the forum at 10:30 last night, was what might have caused this noise (see rubbish video below please). We assumed it was from the fridge, tried turning it off via the control panel but no joy. The control panel had a bit of a ‘please wait’ wobble when trying to turn the heating on, and it was after that we thought we first noticed the sound. As it was late we didn’t feel it was right to start the van and run the engine, but it didn’t stop all night. You could just about hear it from outside, but thankfully we had no one next door. Anyway, long story short… when we turned the water tap on this morning, the sound stopped, but we’re curious what might have caused it in the first place.

Rubbish video of noise coming from the fridge area (that hasn’t been there before):

To make up for the rubbish video, here are a couple of photos of “Billy Ocean (the 3rd)”:

Thanks for looking (assuming I’ve posted the video / images correctly) and thanks again for everything you all take the time to share, it’s very much appreciated.

Probably the Water Pump running, the tap not being completely switched off, just enough to stop water flowing but triggering the pump microswitch.

Ah yes, that makes sense as when we got in, we turned the heating on and then made a cuppa using the tap. The tap worked OK this morning, so hopefully we haven’t wrecked the pump *fingers crossed*

If it was running in water it “should” be OK.

The T6.1 has some sort of pump protection logic. It certainly seems to detect the pump running dry, I'm not sure of the actual logic.
