We use our portapotty all the time and we wanted a solution to keep it out and upfront but not obviously a portable potty in full view.
The idea was to create a cover with a hard top that could double up as a foot rest or small table or an extra sitting spot.

I decided to use magnets, material and an old lap tray top. I glued magnets on the toilet lid and the tray top. I then measure the material and decided where I needed to have magnets inserted in the hems to allow the lid to open easily without removing the whole cover and top. The magnetized lid can be removed easily with the cover to empty and clean the unit. We love it and use it up front with us in our Cali Ocean 6.1 every trip we’ve made so far! Here is the result:

Great work. Not as much fun but much quicker to go to Dunelm and buy their collapsible box with lid that is an exact fit.

Thank you. I think even if I could get that collapsible box with the lid, the effort would be way more to get access to use the loo quickly and on the go and it wouldn’t be as pretty to match my decor It was fun to create and the best accessory we use all the time… besides the ridge monkey and insect screens.
