Thanks for having us - New Ocean / play room

Hello Cali Club!

So happy to post that I am now a Cali owner - T6.1 Ocean in Bay Leaf Green. After a 6 month wait the van is finally on our drive, looking pretty. We (me, wife and 3 year old daughter) had a ball taking it on its first 'test' overnighter last week. What a lovely machine! Now we can't wait to get her out on longer adventures. An unexpected plus for us is the van is doubling as an extra play room for our daughter - she can't get enough of it and demands to sit inside everyday to play with her toys. Look forward to joining the discussion!

Welcome and happy more hours in your new van or more important with your daughter (in or outside the van)!

We too have a 3year old kid around and he also loves to sleep upstairs, just sit in it and draw or eat!

BTW: Nice colour!

I put the roof up, and play knocking a soft ball around on the top bed with our young grandsons. Call it campervan football, they love it.

haha excellent. I'm sure we will get there...I'm still at the early precious stage constantly reminding the little one "Don't jump on the arm rests!"

Thanks for the welcome. Yes, very chuffed to have it arrive before summer! Enjoying kitting it all out now and planning trips. Had planned to be out next week but is looking like a washout!

Thanks for the welcome! Yes, our 3 year old was one of the big reasons for us to finally pull the trigger on the van. Her cracker crumbs are getting everywhere at the moment but all worth it.

Congratulations! The three of you will have so much fun with it! I can say from experience that the Brandrup utilities bags can carry a lot of toys.

Oh and seat covers (in the original VW fabric) are a great thing to have with young kids.

Thanks for the tips! Yes, have been thinking about the seat covers. Which would you recommend? A link would be great

I nearly ordered bay leaf green myself. Funky colour that also (I would think) recedes in the great outdoors.
You did well getting yours in only 6 months! Which dealer did you use?

We got ours through Eurovans in Crawley via a drivethedeal order. First time we used drivethedeal but all went really smoothly. Which colour did you go for in the end? We nearly went for the bronze looking one but kept coming back to the green as it had that refreshing 'nature' feel.

I went for Ascot Grey in the end, and also ordered via DTD from Eurovans ... but after ordering (a 150 Ocean) on 8 October I’m told to expect it will be built in June...
