Has anyone left their Cali at the official parking at Bristol before? Just want to make sure there aren’t any problems with leaving a van there, would hate to be turned away on arrival if deemed too big.

Well given the fact you're under 2m high and 4.9m long, I'd be amazed if there was an issue. Some BMWs and Range Rovers are longer and almost as tall.

Height’s no problem but hidden in their T&C it refers to fitting in a standard parking space which they define as 2.4m x 4.8m. Thus why I’m slightly nervous, not sure whether 10cm over is an issue or more practically how strict they are in application. I think you are probably right but would be good to hear from anyone who has parked there or had any issues.

My son uses these two.......... not sure of names but here are the tel nos

1. 01275 472770 or 07967 739008
2. http://www.ashdalebandb.co.uk/home.html

he reckons they are around £60 to £70 per week

I just found this but check with them re van........
This is great, thank you.
There’s a BUT though ….I’m insured with Comfort thus have the 48hr rule to deal with. They have agreed the van being left in the official on-site secure parking areas but were very specific and I’m not sure how these would sit. I’ll ask specifically if needs be but would prefer to stick with the official parking if possible.

I can't speak for Bristol specifically, but I have definitely seen Transporters (and Transits) parked in Birmingham Airport Car Parks 1 and 2. Those are managed by NCP from memory. I'm quite sure you'll be fine, even if there is a paltry 50mm 'hangover' each side of the actual 4.8m lines. You see Range Rovers hanging over the line all of the time.

I used the on-site car park recently (with my wife’s Tiguan). But I did see a couple of T6 conversions and standard Transporter's dotted around the place, including in the multi-story car park.

For what it’s worth I haven’t used the multi-story but usually head over that side of the car park. It seem like fewer people head over that area and I usually find an abundance of spaces, some quite large, although it wasn’t peak season.

I’ve left my Cali numerous times at Bristol airport. Official long stay and silver zone. Never had a problem.

Ive left mine in the long stay, no issues as theres no height barriers. There are lots of "big" vehicles in the car park. Just make sure you check your insurance, if you have camper van insurance there is a clause that you can't leave your van unattended for more than 48 hours (that isn't your home).
You also have the added risk of it getting dinged, but that could happen in any car park.

Thanks, good to hear you’ve also had a Cali there no problems. Aware of the 48hrs, Comfort have agreed to the on site car parks which is why I’m looking to stick with them.

Left ours in the long stay in June this year. I was a bit nervous about it being damaged whilst we were away but it was ok. I think the spaces are a bit bigger if you go as far as you can all the way to the bottom of the carpark.

You’ll be fine - the car park is a free for all on a gravel mess!

Thanks for all the responses - sounds like all will be fine!
