Has anyone any recommended 5* campsites that take campervans that have on pitch, en-suite facilities , open all-year or until late autumn, in England/Wales.
Similar to Cowpots Camping , West Wales.

I would like to extend this question to Europe as well, specifically campsite with good private/en-suite facilities. These seem very thin on the ground from my investigations to date.

This is really good on Isle de Re. Only one pitch with private facilities, but it is really good. We stayed there in July, and I think we may have been the first people to use it, since the smoke alarm went off at the first shower! Took the battery out, and all was fine. Apart from the toilet and shower, there is also a large fridge and full sized sink. About 40 Euros per night.Isle de Re.jpg

A Bus and Beyond stayed on a site in France with ensuite facilities on site. Can't remember the name of it but it's on one of their blog videos.

Another vote for Concierge camping, been a number of times. I would say it is actually above 5* if you could actually grade it!! Not sure if they still do, but shortly after COVID you could hire an en-suite unit to be delivered to your pitch. However their site facilities in the main block are on another level.

I note from the website that awnings must be erected on the hard standing only. Do you know if this includes wind out awnings? (I don’t like sitting out on hard standing.)

The French star system is a bit skewed.
Stars are given depending on amenities provided.
Toilets gain a star, laundry rooms, swimming pools etc etc.
I’ve experienced supposed 5star which are on a par with Butlins and two star which are marvellous.

It’s Camping du Letty in Brittany - we’re off there this week on the strength of their review! I haven’t yet come across any UK sites with this type of en-suite pitch but would be good to know.

In September we have booked a pitch with own sanitary block which also includes own washing up area, a fridge, loungers and picnic bench at CAMPING LES CRIQUES DE PORTEILS near Argeles Sur Mere. Can update once we have been there.

I would think so as the hardstanding pitches are huuuugggeee and wouldn’t need to be on any of the grass. Seriously the pitches are very private and immaculately maintained and laid out.

Yes, it is great, the Japanese and Pizza food is lovely. It really is a special site, clearly not the cheapest, but you soon see why when you are there……

I certainly enjoyed their banana rum hot chocolate in the marquee after a bracing -6° walk on the downs!

Any price limit in mind or is money no object?
Concierge prices during any Goodwood events can make the CMC look like a bargain! But they see to get booked up, so must be worth it.

Love2Stay near Shrewsbury is excellent; two types of pitches, fully serviced and Isabella Super Pitches. Not en-suite but superb facilities including cafe.

not quite an apples to apples comparison!

We have a couple of ensuite sites booked on the Loire for September ....Flowers camping, L'ile d'Offard, and Camping Sandaya, Chateau des Marais.
Have u been to Chateau des Marais before? Looking at that for next summer and a trip across to Disneyland Paris
