I bought two @Bigted 3D printed internal 'S' roof coathooks but both have broken, I saw somewhere someone posting an aluminium one, I think, but cannot find now (and search here is not working).

Anyone got any links to either stronger plastic roof coat hooks or to stainless steel or aluminium ones?

NB my several other @Bigted 3D printed parts have all been great, but for my heavy coats the 3D printed hooks were unsuitable.

This sort of thing?

Indeed: unfortunately 3-D printed hooks tend to break after a while (plastic rather large hooks that are not 3-D printed last much longer); the hooks I bought for the (Ikea) sunnersta rail also both broke. Aluminum -with felt- is just better for it. I bought these:

Thank you - all - for the quick responses. The calitop.eu aluminium ones were the ones I saw before, but could not find, and might now order. The powder coated mild steel ones worry me slightly because of scratch/rust though I suspect they would be the strongest option. But the Hotel California option is also tempting as I already have a Sunnersta but currently on 3D plastic ...

My Big Ted’s hooks for the Sunnersta broke and I replaced them with diy aluminium hooks. I bought a strip of aluminium, cut it to size, bent it, drilled a hole into them, screwed the Sunnersta against them and Bob’s yer uncle.

We made some useful hooks out of small mild steel angle brackets, bent in a vice using a hammer - cheap and very useful.

These are also available from the Club shop - made from Perspex.

Decided to order the above - since I don't want to DIY (credit to those who do) and the non-ferous metal options both had delivery to the UK problems:

Might order the latter when next in Europe, and hope my Sunnersta BigTed's hold up in the meantime.

Shame they broke. Not 100% on whatBigTed uses but from what I recall from ours, it looked like PLA / PLA+. They'd probably be stronger (near indestructable from daily use in regards to tensile strength) if printed from PETG and also handle heat/warping better.

as #12 above, these have arrived:

Rather expensive for what they are, and not particularly well finished on the edges when first inspected, but having stomached the price and delivery cost and installed them they fit well, look well, and feel strong so, in the end, a pretty satisfactory solution for hanging my full length coats etc.
