Revolving seats - trim protection

We love our Ocean, but turning the driver’s seat around is such a faff. While manoeuvring the seat, it always comes into contact with the B pillar - no matter how much I try to avoid it. So . . . . . I wonder if anyone has had the bright idea to come up with something to cover the area which comes closest to the seat to avoid the inevitable scratches?

Slide the seat to a position where the top and bottom sliding runners are aligned. Then do 9 little twists of the backrest wheel and around it will go…………

Thanks to you all for your help. Our “salesman” clearly didn’t understand the van quite as much as he thought he did.

We had the same problem when we bought our van. The salesman was a total twat when it came to explaining anything.
It was over 8 years ago but I clearly remember him turning the drivers seat and scraping the pillar. The simple solution like anything on the California is to do it S L O W L Y and carefully. Wether its turning the drivers seat or lowering the roof or turning the knob on the control panel, if you do it slowly and with some care they will last forever.
