Hi, Long story short; trip to the alps, 10yr old son borrows earpods and one of them mysteriously disappears from his left ear and is nowhere to be found. (he was sitting fridge side)
I'm inclined to think it's probably on the floor at a filling station somewhere between Calais and Moutiers but before I buy a new one....
is there a hidden / non obvious space somewhere under the bench that it could end up in if it fell down by the seat belt recess?
I've looked in the drawer, under it, in and behind the pass-through, in the boot etc.
I just want to make sure I've looked everywhere before buying a replacement then finding it in his shoe. :D
Thanks S2

If there is any charge left, you can use ‘Find My’ to play a loud sound to enable you to locate it if it’s still in the van.

Have you taken the toolkit off the back of the bench?

With that removed you should have a clear view of the back of the drawer.
Only place you havn't mentioned is caught up on the wire grid on the underside of the bench seat. Have you lifted the rear edge of the bench base & felt around ? particularly round the seatbelt mountings.

Thanks for all of your replies. it's my wife's earbud and 'Find My' was turned on but is not turning up anything at all (she still has the remaining one and the case), perhaps because the battery is now flat.
I'll try the tool case - I shall post my findings! thanks again.

Don't post it to us if you find it! You'll need to explain its disappearance to SWMBO again.

If you know anybody with one of these you could borrow it and have a good look in and under the seat.

Toolkit removed and a thorough search completed. Nada. Oh well. He’s having wired headphones only from now on!!!

It will roll out of somewhere once you’ve bought a new pair.

Check the bottom front of L kitchen cupboard.

Have you looked into the rails? it could have fallen on the floor and then inadvertently stepped on and pressed into the floor rails

Long shot, but could you leave the other earpod somewhere out of range and then try playing music in the van to see if the earpod plays - you could check in Bluetooth setting to see if it's pairing?

Easily done.
This is why I’ve told my 7 year old, he’s not having a set of in ear until he can afford to buy them himself. Gave him one of my old sets of overhead. He can’t loose them…
