We bought ours from Breeze in Poole and picked up on Saturday and the service and price have been spot on.

VW vans website has a used search facility. If you're a newcomer a purchase from a VW van centre would give at least 12 months warranty and peace of mind.

A look around a good dealer is a great idea, hopefully various models will be there, eg 2 and 3 seat rear seat, and it might help you work out what you really need / want

Due to the complexity and niche nature of them, would highly recommend a specialist - VW Used directly, or a firm such as Campervantastic if looking at trade. If you're comfortable with private sales, the forum has an ads section with a good number listed.
