Grape Yellow

I have a couple of stone chips on the bonnet. the grape yellow paint i bought of eBay is awful. has anyone tried a yellow nail varnish? I'm going to wrap the bonnet but, just a a temp repair....

If it’s low down then maybe hide it with on of these van style, fitted mine from new to reduce chips
