Hi All,

I'm Nicolas from north of Italy on Lago Maggiore! I'm looking to buy a California Beach to be able to have a multipurpose vehicle that allows me to have more than 5 seats, charging space when needed and long weekend adventures in Europe with my wife and two daughters.

I'm looking forward to suggestion and examples of the usage of the California Beach as a daily car and short family adventures. If you have any section of the forum that I should look first please tell me here.

Hi Nicholas, welcome to the club forum!

Use the search spyglass, and select ‘Advanced Search’, then ‘search threads’. A little way down the search page you’ll see ‘Search in forums’. There is a dropdown list provided of all of the sub-forums. Take a look through the list, and for what you want I’d suggest 3: Beginners, Buying a VW California, VW California Beach Chat.

And good luck - you won’t regret buying a Cali!

You may have already scoured YouTube. The Cali Camper Family are a good example of the use of a Cali for advetures for a family with children. They are also based somewhere near/in Italy ... but recently moved to a Ford Nugget. Their old videos will give you a good idea of what you need to know.

Ciao Nicholas. We had a lovely stay at Maggiore last year with our Cali Coast, beautiful area of Italy. My brother lives in Legnano with his Italian wife and family so hopefully we will have many more visits!
