Hi. Been looking for waterproof seat covers for the coast, with isofix I’m looking at 190 quid from Inka which seems a little steep. Need convincing they are worth it, or any other options out there?

I view seat covers in the same vein as phone covers, which is that they can have a habit of ruining your enjoyment of the factory fit elements in a push to keep them nice for resale. As such I don't bother on either. We have though sprayed them with stain proofing. So far, so good.

Main thing that gets dirty for us is the back seat and would love a cover for just the lower part of the seat but seems impossible to find.

Hate Inka's. Who wants to sit on plastic, just so the next owner can enjoy pristine seating. Perhaps OK if you've got a dog, if not, spray the seats with Scotchguard, then place washable towels over the base seat cushion.

Bit ugly, not great to sit on.
However. We have 2 dogs that often soaking wet and blathered in mud. Ours are over 5 years old now and still doing their job. Definitely worth the money for us.

Great for dogs, wet wetsuits, tip runs & messy kids/adults. Easy to wash in the washing machine & fast drying.

Just throw a cup of tea over your uncovered seat and see how easy it is to clean the mess, remove the stain & dry. Nobody wants to sit on the wet patch on the way home.

I have them in my coast. If you have children and I'm guessing you do, given that you mention Isofix, then in my opinion they are a no-brainer given the purpose of a camper.

£190 is cheap compared to the cost of some of the brandup offerings but given their waterproof nature they can get a little sweaty in the summer.

You could also have the seats retrimmed in leather but this would cost a lot more than £190.

2 free range kids and a dog also our only transport. Really they are for the everyday, summer camping I would take them off.

Thanks for the replies will get a set.

We didn’t need seat covers until we got a dog. We used to take care of the seats and cover them in blankets when eating, drinking.

The seats would be ruined now without the dog protection.

We cover the rear seat, bottom bit, with an EVA airline blanket tucked in, works fine for two adults. And the colour, grey, matches the rest of the interior.

I have fitted them for winter - they don’t bother me and even make sliding in and out easier. Saves worrying about those water spots on the upholstery. I will take them off in the summer.

Hi,

Are these still available please? Potentially interested if so. No clue how to message on here. This is my first ever post LOL

Thanks

I used a waterproof cot cover from ikea for the back base seat without any problems. However then my son (22!!!) Had a can of apple juice explode everywhere so after cleaning everything we decided on the inka covers.
They don't look as good and can be slippy however they are so easy to fit/remove and wash. I no longer worry about getting into my van when it's raining. It's been a brilliant purchase if just to stop me panicking all the time.
Might be worth you looking at the dryrobe version. Not sure on their price but they are waterproof too.

Don’t order ! - we ordered back in early October, promised within 10 days - just been emailed after a 3rd email chase to say they don’t have the stock - awful service
