Hi , when we got our Cali it came with a folding mattress that you unfold and put over the rear seats when they are made into the bed. We only use the upstairs bed so took the folding mattress out more or less the first day we collected the Cali to make more space. I don’t know if this came with the Cali from new or it’s an aftermarket one. It’s light grey in colour and is velour (almost suede/alacantara to the touch) and is veery good quality. There are no manufacturers labels on it anywhere. I’m not thinking of selling but just interested if it’s original VW or aftermarket. I’ll attach a couple of pics to see if anyone has any info. Thanks in advance for any replies

Possibly but the texture of mine looks different to that one. Mines almost like suede or alacantara and you can sort of brush it with you hand to make it a different shade of grey (if you know what I mean)

Probably got a cover on it.

Mmm I’ll check that. It does have a zip on one side of it.

Definitely looks like it has a cover on to me. Underneath, it could be the OEM comfort mattress or an aftermarket one. Would need to see it out of the cover.

I’ve just been out to check and it’s just yellow foam inside so definitely not an OEM one with a cover on. I wonder if the are any labels on the inside. I’ll bring in the house and have a better look

I’ve just been and unzipped it and there are no manufacturers labels anywhere. The foam appears to be memory and there are 3 sections (obviously). A few more pics attached to see if anyone has the same one.

looking at the foam cuts, could it be a DIY job?
Most likely scenario. Cali camper family bought an Amazon Basics memory foam rectangle and cut the corners in a similar fashion for their Nugget.

Not too sure, seems good quality (until you unzip it and look at the curved foam cuts) It’s extremely comfy though and the dogs love it…….

I’m not going to sell it. It’ll go with the Cali if I ever sell it
