My electric door has stopped working. Have I turned it off or do I have flat leisure batteries?

What does this button do again?

Switch to manual function?
I thought that might be it but it won’t lock properly and won’t go back to electric. Not toggling on and off. I have a vague memory this has happened to me before.

On the drive with the door locked but not quite shut.

If the yellow light on the button is on it indicates that the door has been switched to manual mode. If you can't toggle it to automatic mode (with the light going off), then it might be the button itself that's at fault. Try giving it a good clean, otherwise a trip to the dealer.

I don't actually think it would be the fuse but in case you haven't checked it already, make sure the fuse is ok.

Plugged in my reader and got this

Anyone had this?

And this flashing

I reset the codes several times but kept returning. I’m guessing it’s a repair job?? Not too bothered about cost.

I really really hate my local VW dealers. The sliding door is exactly the sort of thing that I imagine them stuffing up but will my friendly local garage know how to fix?

Could it be a fuse? Anyone know which one? I know various people have had door problems. Mine has survived 2008 to now.

Who is the Breeze contact? Maybe I could drive to Southampton. @Tomdbreeze can you fix this?

I just can’t go to SMG they’re god awful.

First thing, find the module and check power and ground.

Any ideas where the fuse or module is?

It just seems dead. Been looking on YouTube. Lots of door faults but no many electrical.

Hmmm, don’t know? If I was a betting man, I’d pull the sliding door inner off and stick my nose in there!

Fuse 2 looks ok

Weirdly the off button on the dash isn’t changing colour when I press it. I’m thinking it should turn yellow. The whole system is just dead. But fuses fine. The fact I can’t even shut it is a pain. That requires the electric power. I need to drive to the Alps in 6 weeks but I currently can’t shut the door!!

My VW dealer choices are SMG Croydon or Alan Day in North London. Both have pretty terrible google reviews and probably won’t be able to take it for weeks.

Probably going to beg my local specialist Peter Norris to look at it tomorrow. Not sure if a door fault is their thing.

I’m not sure what it is you’re looking to achieve here? Clearly you have zero skill/intention of doing anything about this issue yourself (similar to your recent brake debacle).

Stop arsing around on here and put your energy into finding a decent auto diagnostic guy. Just get it fixed instead of talking about it.
