T6 Ocean - 6 or 8 speakers??

The speaker grill on our T6 Ocean door card looks like it has 2 separate speakers in it.

However from threads here and what I’ve read there’s only one speaker in the door I think?

To save me removing the door card does anyone know for sure if there’s 1 or 2 speakers in the door?

So it’s either 6 speakers in total

2 x Tweeters in A pillars
2 x Mid range speakers in doors
2 x speakers in rear cupboard

Or 8 speakers in total?

2 x Tweeters in A pillars
2 x Mid range speakers in doors
2 x bass speakers in doors
2 x speakers in rear cupboard

Ours is a standard Cali with Discovery media Pro

That’s what I thought however the T6 brochure states 8.

The speaker grill makes it look like 2 in the door too.

I’ll take the door card off and have a proper look of it ever stops raining!

MY18 was 6 speakers in a beach & 8 in an Ocean. Unless you went for the Dynaudio pack in which case you got 11!

It technically has space for a smaller Mid speaker to (but not the mountings) which were maybe fitted if you selected the uprated audio pack with centre speaker.

The 2016 / 17 Uk brochure says 8 speakers for Ocean. Mines a 2017.

I’m going to take the door card off to double check!

You might find this video useful as it shows the smaller mid speak mounted to the door card (about 3min 45s in).

Ahh thanks.

So I’m guessing it doesn’t matter how many speakers are in there but in theory I should be able to upgrade to 3 way components.

Though not sure if the mid bass speaker comes with the bracket or it’s a Vw bracket that’s in the door card.
