Possible roof corrosion?

Please find attached 2 x photos, thinking possibly linked to root corrosion issue? (Paint bubbling) But wondering if anyone else had similar experience?

sorry to hear that,

if it were mine I’d get that plastic end cap off and have a better look, and check the roof cap.
that does not look too onerous to repair, it’s high up and part covered by the black plastic end cap , you probably won’t see a blend line Into the A pillar

It's not the regular Cali roof 'corrosion' which occurs on the front cap and around the rubber trim on the main roof. Has yours been in for roof repair? I wonder if that area got damaged during that work and now, exposed to the elements, is rusting.

Yes been for roof repair a year ago all seemed good until I noticed this, just thought I check with others have had similar issue since roof repair?

You should contact the body shop that did the front cowl roof corrosion and get them to repair that pillar rust under their repair warranty

You may be lucky, I had my cowl repair leak just before the two year repair warranty ended and VW agreed to a full cowl cap removal and repair in October 2020 FOC

When i had my roof tarted up under warranty they removed
those black trims and then stuck them back on with some Sika bond
stuff.
Could your paintwork have been damaged when they removed yours?
It looks like it to me, your van shouldn't be bubbling with rust there.
