Looking to buy
Hi, I'd just like to introduce myself and to thank you all for your invaluble knowledge and mainly positive comments that have been made in the last few months.
Final decisions have been made, I'm looking to order this week. Ocean in Fontana Red, Sports pack, Towbar, Shower, ArtValours, 2nd draw in bench seat, any comments good or bad would be much appreciated...what about the 225/45 R18 tyres?

They are 255/45 R18 with the sports pack, not 225.

Fontana red with all the black accents from the sports pack looks lovely.

If you are ordering sports pack there is some confusion as to whether the heated screen is included or not, You may have to tick the box to get it included it but it shouldn't change the price.

Yes my newby error... they are 255/45 thanks, will check with dealership on sports pack heated screen, any views on the 80ltr fuel tank, or the tyre monitoring system?

Yes (but you dont "need" it) and no. We find the bigger tank just allows us to go that bit further (was handy on the NC500) and you get the basic TPG for free - no need IMHO to see the actual numbers. With the basic system you inflate the tyres to the right pressure and then set the system. It then recognises any drop and tells you. Same effect, just without the precise pressure numbers on a screen.

Are you getting the 204 or 150HP? If the former 80L tank for sure. For the cost its a no brainer. I would also get 4 keys.

The 150HP so probably leave the 80L tank off, might consider the 4 keys though, might think again about the TPMS.

Lots of people say they wish they hadn't got the second drawer because it takes away the ability to put long things in the boot. I also ordered four keys, as the cost of replacing them later is hideous. Although the indirect TPMS might work okay, I had that system on an Audi and it seemed to go wrong a lot, but that might be a previous generation of system.

80L worth it anyway, 4 keys a must have for the price, and TPMS if you are keen to keep an eye on exact pressure of every tyre in order to optimise the fuel consumption and peace of mind to see a drop before too late IMO.
virtual cockpit also great once you use it...

I found the TPMS worked OK on my 2014 Audi S4. It was a little sensitive throwing up warnings even without obvious deflation but I guess its better to know sooner than later.

I would go for the bigger tank, have never needed more than 2 keys & find the standard tyre pressure alerts to be fine.
The 2nd draw was a must have on the current van, it's really convenient for keeping a stash of frequently used items in, tea, coffee & mugs etc. It's pretty hard to open the big draw if you are sitting on the bench as there's nowhere left to put your feet. Add in a dog thats usually asleep in the middle of the floor & it becomes awkward to use at times.

to be more accurate, the TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system) on Cali implies pressure sensor on each wheel, precisely indicating real time pressure of individual tyre corner, also temperature fluctuations, in contrast to the "indirect" system who just indicates a lower pressure or puncture in one or more tyre without any specification.
plus you have to reset the "indirect" every time you properly inflate a tyre.
direct TPMS far more accurate and useful.

80l tank is worth having.

TPMS - saves you getting your hands dirty taking the valve caps off. But you still need to check tyre condition and wear across the tread from time to time.

Check with others - but I dont think 18" wheels will allow you to carry a matching alloy spare, as they might not fit in spare wheel holder. 17" might be better...plus cheaper to replace and often easier to find stock if you need a replacement whilst travelling.

having the direct TPMS you will know much sooner and exactly what corner, no need to check the pressure on each wheel in a case of false alarm.

I like the four keys because my wife and I have one each, the third one is labelled up with our ID and used when van is in the garage (and otherwise as a spare) and the fourth is split into two parts - a surf key permanently on me with the other half (fob part) very discretely hidden deep within the van. This way I hope to never be caught/locked out as some other forum members have been.

More than happy with the second drawer, to date not had anything long that would require this space, roof net that comes with this pack is a waste of time and I removed it.

And with a ghost2, even if they find the key in my cold dead fingers and put it back together with my dark deep hidden fob, they’ll never start it, to boot !

4Mo is useful even on the road, although probably more advantageous if you were opting for the 204HP engine.

DTD is drive the deal. Basically a service that matches buyers with dealers. Seems most of the deals are offered through Eurovans who have a checkered reputation. Search to read some of the experiences of members here, good and bad.

Aren't similar discounts available from other dealers like Breeze if pressed?

Hope so for others.
I didn’t have any luck after ringing 7 various dealers to match DTD in July 2022.
