Internet Radio

Greetings all.
does anyone know how to get internet radio on the pro infotainment system. Mine is connected to my iPhone via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and I’ve also purchased data and I still can’t get it to work.

I’m not quite sure what you mean by internet radio but maybe on your phone with an App via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto?

I assume you mean that the VW heat Unit is supposed to support it. In my experience phone apps are kept up to date much better.

Hi. As always after I posted the message I went to the van and had another go and managed to get it working. I rescanned it but this time I selected internet and fm/dab and it found some station. I think it only works if you have purchased data. To be honest it’s nothing special and I i don’t think I will be using It

I have got internet radio stations when the van is connected to my WiFi at home and also tried it successfully at a campsite on WiFi.
No luck when driving though. TBH nothing on Internet Radio I really want.

Just get TuneIn Pro and run through Carplay or Android Auto.....works a treat

Does it rely on a solid internet connection?

I don't know the system as I'm still waiting for delivery of mine but with all iPhones, you have to enable personal hotspot to share the internet connection via Bluetooth. That works in my Volvo. It took me ages to figure out how to get Spotify to work!

I don’t, I just plug in my iPhone via USB and it works via the apps. I disable wifi and Bluetooth when in the van

I use Spotify but not via a Personal Hotspot on my iPhone. Just connect CarPlay with the phone being on the Cellular network.
