Rear camera - yellow vehicle path lines

Am I missing a setting somewhere or is it not possible to see yellow vehicle path lines superimposed onto the camera image?

I see the rather pointless collapsible window showing a sketch of a van and yellow vehicle path lines, but I want them on the camera image not in the bottom left corner of the screen.

Yes there is, but for life of me I can’t remember how to do it!

I’m sure someone more knowledgable than me will be along shortly

I have the lines (but not the sketch) but as the lines don’t move when you turn the wheel I have not worked out how to use them effectively. Best use of lines is showing if I’m far enough forward to open the tailgate

Are they yellow (I have the green box and the red line)

Looking at the manual, that has more lines on it than on my screen. I wonder if it’s a software update that has stripped them away.

Lines have always shown on mine and move when I turn the steering wheel. Very useful.

I believe it is only on T6.1 and maybe only with autopark option. There is big difference between camera in t6 and t6.1, camera on t6.1 is much higher quality.
I love the function to view 180 deg when getting backward out of parking space while parked between 2 other campers or vans.

On the camera image
(and on the vehicle graphic when it is showing. Think the vehicle graphic only appears if the parking sensors have activated).

Interesting... this is what I see;

First image shows no yellow path lines

Second image shows the (in my opinion) useless van graphic with path lines (only helps to know which way wheels are pointing)

Third image show diagrams from manual with path lines superimposed on camera image

Exactly my experience too. 6.1 Ocean delivered end Sep 23. Is it a software issue or are we not activating something ? I do have Park Assist, but I've never turned it on.

Apologies to all. My ageing memory obviously let me down on this issue. Have checked and I don’t get the yellow lines on the camera image, only on the pop up graphic.

oh thats a shame. Seems like the manual is wrong or refers to a different feature not available on current cali 6.1's. Boo!

I have T6.1 ocean july 22 and rear camera view is as described in manual , see pictures attached taken in my cali minutes ago. I have park assist, towbar assist . Photos show all different views I can select.

Ah ha! Thanks. Thats what I was expecting.

I wonder what is going on. I apparently also have park assist but not trailer assist, just 'trailer stabilisation'....

I might raise this with VW... altho not sure best way to. Maybe use the 'i' button in the van.

Same with my 6.1…. Not much practical use!
My California T5.1 had the nice lines on camera image.
