Guess the cost to repair!

I guess around 2.500€

Bad luck.

I have a friend with a Rolls Royce who’s front wing and wheel were damaged by a trader’s van.

RR’s final repair bill was £95,000!!!!!!
Surely that will make you feel better ;)

So t cut made it look a bit better, from the first pic to the second. Quote impressed really, wish I'd known about it when my cars in Cornwall used to get loads of fine scratches from branches etc.

Anyway, being fixed by dealer next week. Estimated at about €3,000. Luckily insurance covering it with only €120 to pay and no loss of ncd. Which is probably why insurance in Luxembourg costs a fu&*ing fortune in the first place...

Repair to two panels £500
Parts (new chrome mouldings) etc £300
Re paint £2,200
Total £3,000

In Canada, a top body shop would charge about $1,400-1,800 CDN or <1,000 Pnds.

Renault Gasperich will give you two prices. The first if the insurance company are paying or a lower price if you are paying

So, my parents have a steep, narrow drive. Say no more, a picture paints a thousand words. Just for fun tell me how much you think a dealer in Luxembourg () will charge to fix it....

We live, and use Smart Repair and they have done bits and pieces on my van. All work has been superb. I reckon he would charge about £600.

The reason why is simple. They couldn’t simply fill in the dents and match spray, as it would have devalued the car massively.

Instead they stripped the entire car back to metal, replaced the two panels, wing and door , and resprayed everything, including the engine bay !
Then they changed all four alloys as one was scuffed.
Excessive??? Maybe, but at the end of the process his car was still worth £140,000.
