Is it just my findings.. or has anyone else noticed the spike in Fake adverts on Facebook?

I report them, but get fed up policing Marketplace.. its not like it was!

It seems as though these scammers just want email addresses and of course, to try and obtain deposits on high value items and full payment on low value items that will never appear..

Apparently the increase in scams in Facebook regarding Vehicles is through the roof. Reported by a friend of mine, looking for a van.

He says one way to check out if it’s a scammer is to look at the OPs profile then look at other items for sale by that seller and selling history!
one seller had over two hundred vehicles for sale & none sold ever !

Facebook Don’t police anything & the scammers know that

It must be kids half the time because most of the ads are 4 grand for a T6 or 4 yr old Audi. Not realistic at all.

I find Facebook full of stupid people unable to use Google and looking for “engagement” on inane posts. I flirt with the corresponding group for this forum every so often until the idiots on there get maddening too.

If I could I would delete it and as for the OP fake posts are the lifeblood of the platform and have been since day one.

People do what people do.

I’m fairly intolerant as well of fools which does not help.

I report, but FB response is that it doesn't infringe any of their rules..! Utter rubbish these days.
