My service schedule book after doing service 12 is full in both my Golf and California. Will they send me another? There’s a back page for ‘workshop comments’ and room for some stamps but I’d rather have a proper book.
I keep the receipts in a file but assumed the book would last more that 12 years.

VW don’t do Service Books anymore. It’s all held on computer as is the case for many manufacturers.

Just keep the print off of the service / copy receipt; Make sure the dealer gives you a copy each time.

On my last service they stamped the book on request, but only passed a copy of works invoice when I requested. Dealer said that it is all held on the system computer so no need for paperwork, which does not help me if I ever sell the van as doubt that they would be willing to pass details of history to a third party / prospective buyer due to data protection.

Plus easier to know what has been done & when if you have a copy of the paperwork.

I am not a fan of the new system VW/ Audi use.
I went to look at /buy an Audi S3 for my son on Saturday, the service print out showed the last service was carried out but not at an Audi dealership. There was invoices to prove it was done at a non dealership garage. Not a problem but it could confuse a buyer into thinking it had full main dealer service history. To some this is important.

Another advantage of not using dealers!
I keep the pretty detailed printouts from my VW specialist. I quite like him stamping the book and recording mileage too.
