I found the rattle - after 10 years!

OK, like many others I have suffered a rattle in my T5 California since day one when we bought it brand new 10 years ago. Since then, I've oiled and packed wadding into every orifice of the driver-side door, window and awning which is where I though the noise was coming from. But whilst prepping for the Easter weekend and checking the tyre pressures, I noticed the mudflap on the driver-side front wheel was a little loose. I tightened the lower of the two hex bolts and - yep, you guessed it - rattle gone!

That must feel SO good!

I had a similar effin rattle years ago on my Vauxhall Astra GTE Convertible...........sure enough, a few months before selling it and I found said rattle.........effin exhaust hanger bracket

Have spent years chasing rattles in my 2000 T4 Cali, finally recently compleaty removed the interior and floor to install sound deadening & insulation as VW fitted very little of either, found some wardrobe & kitchen mountings impossible to access unless you removed the wardrobe, its quieter now with a lower pitch and the fridge has an easier time keeping cool.

But! now theres less road noise i can hear other noises, R&R bed etc
