Hi everyone just checking in to say hello and introduce you to Wilma our Coast (well she is a German redhead !) We have been reading the forum for a while , but having brought our Cali a couple of weeks ago really thought we should join. We have a bit of veedub camper history having had a T4, ’72 Bay Westfalia, Crafter, and a Hillside T6.

Loving the Cali, looking forward to our first trip away to Cornwall at Easter and have booked a ferry for June

Have also brought a Vango awning of from an advert on this very forum !

Good to be part of the California gang - hope to see some of you on the road.

And because we all like looking at pic’s of vans here is a couple of ours.

Welcome here!
Would love to hear a bit about your crafter experience (converted?)

Thanks, really like Fortana Red looks different in depending on the light but really lights up in the sunlight

Crafter was a great base vehicle (mwb 140 manual 2020) good to drive & very much like a big T6.1, although very heavy on fuel when driven at motorway speeds, ok under 60. Disappointing conversion from one of the approved VW converters - quality & poor design issues, not helped by very poor after sales - hence we no longer have it !

That would be my first choice of colour. Sadly I don't think we're going to get hold of a Coast in that shade - so looking at a cherry red one instead. Did you buy new or used? Very nice looking van :)

Brought used just a year old, we have had a T6 in Cherry Red it’s a good colour & not to popular which I prefer.

Great looking van, love the colour.
Would you mind telling me which wheels they are?.

Shame they don’t give the option of Toluca’s anymore. They look great!

Where did you manage to puck them up from??

eBay, they have always been my favourite wheel for a Cali, not sure they would be a good choice for heavy winter miles - but Wilma is not the daily so should be ok
