I'm currently on holiday and at a loose end so have just watched this video on my wife's hand held telephonic device:

I make no comment other than possibly a raised eyebrow.

How's that work then?

I'll look at it later. Ours has just ticked over 40k miles in 20months. The only issue a front drop bar link failed.

How do those glitches get out to a customer, never mind 18 months later not being fixed...?

LMAO....."The biggest issue I have with my car is connecting my phone and launching the android auto"....

FFS. Oddly we just get in and drive the car. It connects instantly and the speech recognition is pretty good unlike for example our BMW or the Cali. We had ours in Dec 2020, so even earlier, and there was an software update within the first few weeks to fix issues.

With 40k on the clock I can tell you my fellow director spends a lot of time in the car. He also spends a lot of time on his phone. No issues. But we do lose the signal whilst crossing the New Forest. Might be something to do with mobile phone coverage?

Spoiler Alert,
The guy uses Android Auto, enough said…

I have a Cupra Born, on an ID3 platform.

Software no issues whatsoever. It's a bit slow, some of the haptic controls, especially cruise control, can be difficult to get used to and definitely in the wrong place on the steering wheel... otherwise no problems whatsoever.

As for interconnectivity, the star feature is that I only need to sit in the vehicle, phone in my bag, and its telling me I'm CarPlay connected.

So far, in love. Very impressed.

The New Forest must be one of the poorest coverage areas left in the south. Probably due to planning restrictions in the national park but it's like stepping back in time phone wise. Have to use WiFi calling to get mobile to work in our house.

Ironically the windscreen took a stone chip last night and cracked. So two things have now failed. Windscreen and drop link.
