Hanging gear below lifting bed?

I want to store the 2x VW window mosquito/fly screens handy, yet out of the way when not needed.

Figure a net or some bungee material screwed into the ceiling/lifting bed above the rear seat would do the trick (red area in 2nd photo). It's a brand new T6.1, so I'd prefer not to use the wrong screws...

What screws should I be using? Photos or links for visual clarity would be appreciated. Thanks.

Pop them on the rear boot shelf, under mattress?
Or will they fit in with the chairs ?
It’s a shame they don’t fit behind table in sliding door.

Mine go just fine in the bottom of the under rear bench seat drawer in a T6 Ocean, will they fit in a T6.1?

Why not just open the roof hatch and slide them under the mattress?

On the T6.1 you get the Froli springs so I think the fly screens will get mangled…;~)

They'll fit, but then they'll be a hassle to get out.

Unless you are going for a very rugged / practical / overlander look, I'd be horrified to see DIY aftermarket accessories screwed to the trim of a £70k new van. I may be in a minority but suspect I'm not alone.

We put ours under the rear mattress, nice and flat and doesn’t get in the way. Plus, we haven’t found a need to use them yet (only used the van in the winter and the bigger issue is water leaking in the windows, so keep them taped up…!)

I agree, I wouldn’t be screwing anything into that roof lining….!

They'll fit, but then they'll be a hassle to get out.

Understand but depends on frequency of use and either sit on top in my TV bag (green item or have these convenient IKEA storage cubes which lift out in a few seconds and give easy access.

I keep them in the chair storage within the folded chair.

Me neither. Saw that post from Auberg-ine long time ago but thought then the same as now: nope. But, like about everything concerning your campervan: each to his own, isn’t it?

Stow ours on the rack in the rear under the mattress.
Easy to get out when you need them ( which isn’t that often) and takes up no room..

We made a bag with loop. On longer trips they hang on the back of the left front chair. On shorter trips or daily drives they hang in the closet.

They fit ontop of the chairs. I'm hoping they don't warp

Took the idea from @Auberg-ine (above) and just wrapped 2 pieces of cord around the mattress as a test.

Stuck paper under the contact edges temporarily to prevent damage to the ceiling due to rubbing, and will come up with something nicer.

Can't see why this wouldn't work? (no drilling required)
