Hello everyone. We are proud owners of Stan who is a 2007 T5 California and have spent many happy trips with the old boy.

Hello there.
Any good campsites near Edinburgh?

One at Roslin and another near Leith. The Roslin one is next to Roslin Chapel but only open April to October.

There are a couple in Edinburgh itself:

Mortonhall - just off the City Bypass, near Pentland Hills and adjacent to woods / parkland for walking dogs etc.

Silverknowes - near the shore on the north side of the city. Not such a nice part of town though and next to badlands.

As an alternative, perhaps consider Drummohr Campsite which is in Prestonpans and approx 6 miles east of Edinburgh. Handy for exploring the East Lothian coast.

All sites have good bus links to the centre of Edinburgh. Mortonhall and Silverknowes approx 30mins, Drummohr 1hr.

There’s a great site at Yellowcraig, very close to North Berwick, a few miles east of Edinburgh. It’s run by CAMC and set behind the dunes and nature reserve.
